The ambitious clients’ competition brief asked for the design of the main library and student center as well as a new design faculty along the central university axis at the heart of the Wenzhou-Kean University campus.
The design provides a ground-hugging podium for the Student Centre and support facilities and the Library as a monolithic cube sitting on top of the linear structure. The design faculty is organized along a central spine providing a public space for exhibitions and chance encounters between the different departments. The design team achieved second place in this international competition.
