For many the fantasy getaway is a visit to their own private island. The master-plan concept for ‘Haikou Islands’ offers the opportunity to take a holiday on such an island. The design concept is for an architectural archipelago of individual ‘islands’ that bring together all the services required for secluded, luxurious living. The 800,000 sqm development is planned around a large central park. Each of the initial 3 phases include a hotel complex with shops, restaurants and spas providing a total holiday experience with sports amenities such as golfing and yachting in the immediate vicinity. A new destination for Hainan, China’s tropical province in the south.
