The Mayflower interior design project of 148,000 sqm is located in the up-and-coming district of Zhabei, Shanghai. The new mixed-use development consists of three interconnected parts, namely a shopping mall, residential units and a clubhouse. The design concept is based on the floral pattern of the locally resident magnolia tree. An abstracted pattern, which is implemented throughout the different parts of the project is used and offset on a variety of materials. Bright colours and fluid shapes add to the young and convivial character of the development.
